Kathleen H. Miller, M.D. is a co-founder of Maryland Eye Associates. Dr. Miller has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated Magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA in 1975. She achieved academic honors in Biology and was a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honorary Society. Dr. Miller graduated as a Doctor of Medicine in 1979 from University of Maryland School of Medicine with academic honors in Physical Diagnosis, Microanatomy, Ambulatory Care, General Surgery, Pediatrics, and Ophthalmology. She spent her internship at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, MD from 1979 -1980 and her residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD from 1980 – 1983. She was Assistant Resident from July 1980 – 1982 and was Chief Resident from July 1982 – 1983. Dr. Miller became a Certified Diplomate with the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1980 and an American Board of Ophthalmology Diplomate in 1985. Dr. Miller is affiliated with Calvert Memorial Hospital and The Surgery Center in Prince Frederick, MD as Active Staff. She has published articles in the American Academy of Ophthalmology Journal (“Immunoprotein Deposition in the Cornea,” September 1980). Dr. Miller has been a member of many professional organizations, such American Academy of Ophthalmology, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Calvert County Medical Society, Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, Medical-Surgical Faculty of Maryland, Calvert Memorial Hospital (Secretary/Treasurer of Medical Staff, 1984 – 1990), and Department of Ophthalmology (Chairman, 1998 – 2013).
